New Ammonia Sensor in Gas Analysis Unit MGas 5.1 NH3
As part of a research project we developed an enhancement to our gas analysis unit MGas 5.1 by the gas component ammonia (NH3). The measurement principle of the newly developed NH3 sensor is based on a tunable diode laser (TDSL), which measures and redeems the absorption of ammonia (NH3) and water. The current measurement capacity covers the range of 0 … 20000 ppm ammonia. The measuring camber of the analyzer is heated up to 120°C. The analyzer is often used in the carbo nitriding process.
The gas analysis unit MGas 5.1 NH3 will store all measurement data in an internal memory. The user is able to transfer the data via USB stick to the supplied software. Optional interfaces are available as in RS485, Modbus, Ethernet and other interfaces.
Universal digital indicator A005
A005 is a universal process digital indicator designed for a wide range of input sensors and signals. Five digits LED with 20mm height, allows to read the measurement values from big distant.
Characteristic:
- Compact 96x48 housing for panel mount
- Large 5 digit LED display with 20mm height
- Status indication by LED’s at front panel
- 85…264VAC or 10…36VDC power supply
- Full configurable via function keys on front panel or by PC via RS232 interface
Mirror Dew Point Measuring System with High Accuracy
As a result of permanent improvement and optimization measures we present the further development of our dew point measuring device Dewchecker 1.0. The measurement principle of the new Dewchecker 1.1 stays the same. The furnace gas is passed through a measuring chamber on the surface of a mirror. The mirror is cooled by a thermoelectric Peltier element until dew forms on the surface of the mirror. Using a temperature sensor the temperature of the mirror surface can be detected. As soon as condensation starts the temperature of the mirror is directly read out.
The mirror dew point checker Dewchecker 1.1. is mainly characterized by the fact that the temperature of the mirror can be permanently adjusted to a constant value. Therefore the required mirror temperature is defined as a fixed set point. The electronic controls the Peltier element in such a way that the predetermined set point temperature of the mirror is kept. This allows an accurate approach of the dew point and thus a very accurate measurement of the dew point independent of the operator.
